  • How do I make a reservation at The Hitching Post?

    Making a reservation is easy. Simply visit our booking page to select your preferred dates, room type, and any additional services you may need. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your reservation.

  • Is my reservation secure and guaranteed?

    Yes, we take your reservation seriously. Once confirmed, your reservation is guaranteed.

  • What amenities are included with my room?

    Depending on your room type, you can expect amenities such as free Wi-Fi, linens, towels, and personal storage. Please refer to the Rooms section for specific inclusions.

  • Are pets allowed at The Hitching Post?

    Dog Friendly

    No cats, birds, or reptiles.



    $50 non refundable deposit - limit 2.

    Any damage to the room will be charged to your card.


    All dogs must be leashed.


    We are not a kennel! Do not leave unattended dogs in the room!

  • What time is check-in and check-out?

    Check-In/Out:

    Check-in:

    • 2-6pm Monday-Saturday. After 6pm, please call 970-424-1966. 
    • All Sunday check-ins will be prearranged since our store is closed.
    • Early check in is possible, but not promised.

    Check-Out:

    • 10am. After 11am will be charged a full day stay.
  • What is your policy for hunters and hunting season?

    Hunters:


    • 2 week cancellation to avoid full charge of reservation
    • Tag out early? Enjoy a relaxing visit! If, and only if the room can be rented will a refund be considered less 10%.
    • No gutting or cleaning of fish or game on property.
    • Bring extra house shoes! If there is mud on the carpets, a $150 cleaning fee will be applied.
  • What are your housekeeping policies?

    Housekeeping:

    • We do not offer a daily room service. If you need something, please call 970-424-1966 or stop by the store during open hours.
    • Towels and linens are for indoor & sanitary use only! You will be charged for missing or damaged items.
    • Rags are available upon request.
    • Smoking, of anything, in the rooms will result in a $300 cleaning fee.
